Flower essences history
Dr. Edward, a doctor in the early 1930s, felt something was missing in medicine. He realized that there was an emotional imbalance that led to an actual physical illness and felt that plants were calling him to find a solution. Dr. Bach has concluded that illness is our inner message instructing us to change our way of life and our spiritual perspective.
He went out into the woods and studied 40 flowers, each providing supportive energy properties for mental or emotional balance. The essences derived from these plants are now known as Bach flower remedies and are very readily available today. Led by Bach, many have been studying more flowers and their energetic benefits since then.
How do they work?
Flower essences don’t contain the physical compounds left over from flowers because of how you make them and so dilute. Instead, they are just a mixture of alcohol and water. Therefore, they do not work on a physiological level.
Some studies suggest that it may help relieve pain, promote sleep, and alleviate menopausal symptoms, while animal studies suggest that these are glycemic balance and heart and support health. However, many studies have been criticized for poor design or conflicts of interest among researchers.

● If you’re avoiding alcohol, try using vinegar or vegetable glycerin instead of brandy. Store this extract in the refrigerator.
● Starting the morning on a sunny day is believed to have the most beneficial effect on collecting still fresh flowers in the morning dew. And these essences rely on sunlight to release the energy of the plant.
